Can signing in to FinchStory take fewer steps?

This release group revisits nearly the entire sign-in and first-connection flow. The goal is simple: verification codes, OAuth return, sign-out, and getting back into the app should all be clearer.

The short answer

Yes. Verification now uses a six-digit entry with automatic continuation, OAuth return is less interruptive, successful sign-in can bring you back into the app, and API Key and GPT connectivity are checked automatically.

Verification codes are more direct

The sign-in code now uses a clear six-digit entry and can continue automatically once complete, reducing extra clicks and uncertainty.

Getting back from the browser is smoother

OAuth return flows are less likely to interrupt sign-in. Successful login can bring you back into the app, while signing out clearly requires a fresh login.

Connection status checks itself

API Key and GPT connectivity are checked automatically. The first-run window and Runtime settings were adjusted at the same time to make setup feel more continuous.
