Start with a real task, then discover roles, models, and more capabilities as you need them instead of learning the whole system first.
What is a role? Which one should you choose? Do you need to connect an external AI? What can run locally? How are projects and conversations organized? If all of those concepts arrive at once, the learning starts before the work does.

FinchStory is shifting the first experience from “understand the system” to “start the task.” Begin with a real problem, create or choose a role that can help, and meet the rest of the capabilities when they become relevant. The complexity is still there; it simply does not all need to appear in the first minute.
Reduce the cognitive load of the first minute
Defaults, guidance, role creation, and capability presentation can all stay more restrained. You should not need to become a FinchStory expert before FinchStory can help you work.
A better first experience is not about making onboarding look shorter. It is about getting to the useful part earlier: starting the work.
