How do you choose between DeepSeek’s four working styles?

Choosing the model is only part of the decision. How the task is carried out can change the experience just as much.

The short answer

DeepSeek Flash 4.1 can now work through four styles—F, C, P, and H—and all four support both text and image content.

Sometimes you want FinchStory to organize a continuing loop. Other work fits Codex CLI, Pi, or Harness better. Choosing the model and choosing how it acts no longer have to be the same decision.

F, C, P, and H represent four different ways of working

DeepSeek Flash 4.1 can run with FinchStory Loop, Codex CLI, Pi, and Harness, represented by F, C, P, and H. The underlying model remains DeepSeek while the way work is organized and advanced can change.

Change the working style without changing the model

The same role can choose a different execution style when the task changes. If the work benefits from a continuing loop, command-line execution, Pi, or Harness behavior, you do not have to switch away from DeepSeek first.

All four styles support text and images

F, C, P, and H can all work with text and image content, so tasks that depend on screenshots, visual information, and written context can use the same execution choices.

The model answers “which capability.” The working style answers “how that capability becomes action.” They do not have to be locked together.
