Can first-time setup make installation progress clearer?

FinchStory needs to install a few required components during initial setup. The confusing part was not the installation itself, but knowing what stage it was in and whether it was safe to keep interacting.

The short answer

Yes. Setup now shows live installation progress, temporarily blocks actions that could conflict with it, and returns to a retryable state after a failure.

If something is installing, FinchStory says so

The setup area shows live progress while required components are being installed, so you do not have to guess whether FinchStory is still working.

Conflicting actions wait until setup is ready

Role creation and environment switching are temporarily disabled until installation finishes, avoiding half-configured states.

A failed install does not leave the UI stuck

If installation fails, FinchStory shows the failure briefly and then returns to a state where you can act and retry.
