If you looked under my desk a month ago, you would have seen chaos. Power strips tangled with monitor cables. USB cords wrapped around chair legs. Ethernet cable draped across the floor like a tripwire. It was the kind of mess you stop noticing after a while — until you have to unplug something and spend five minutes tracing which cable goes where.
I kept telling myself I'd fix it. I watched cable management videos on YouTube. I browsed Reddit threads of pristine desk setups with not a single wire in sight. But every time I thought about buying cable management gear, it felt like a project. Too many options. Too much effort.

The second: an Electronics Organizer Travel Bag. This wasn't even for my desk originally — I got it to keep cables tidy while traveling. But it turned out to be the perfect solution for all the spare cables, adapters, and dongles I didn't need plugged in every day. It has elastic loops and mesh pockets that hold everything flat. I stuffed it with spare USB cables, an SD card reader, a spare charger brick, and slid it into my desk drawer. No more digging through a tangled ball of wire every time I needed an HDMI adapter.
Between the clips keeping my active cables routed cleanly, and the organizer bag hiding the rest, my under-desk is now something I'm not embarrassed to show. It took maybe twenty minutes. Total cost: under twenty dollars.
I used to think cable management required a full desk overhaul. It doesn't. Two small products, one afternoon, and you can stop pretending the mess isn't there.
